Description
This new introduction boasts the elegant, pale-violet tones of its parent plant ‘Dreaming Swan’, plus all the frills and razzmatazz that you could wish for! Layer upon layer of ruffled petals make this superb double Japanese Anemone a real show-stopper. With a neat, compact habit, Anemone ‘Frilly Knickers’ is perfect for perennial borders in sun or light shade. It makes a charming container plant too. Flowering in late summer, this hardy perennial is perfect for keeping the colour going as many summer perennials begin to fade. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 45cm (18").

How to Grow
Pot up using free-draining compost, and grow plants on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outside. Once they are well grown, acclimatise anemones to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting out on moist fertile, well drained soil in sun or dappled shade. Anemone plants dislike wet ground, particularly during winter. Improve soil conditions by adding plenty of well rotted manure or compost prior to planting.
More Info
Feed and water anemones regularly throughout the growing season. Cut back anemone flowers as they fade. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of anemones in spring. Caution: Irritant to skin and eyes. Harmful if eaten.
