How to Grow
Ajuga reptans 'Chocolate Chip' is a low-growing evergreen perennial that makes superb ground cover, forming a carpet of chocolatey purple foliage above which short spikes of lilac-blue flowers rise in spring. Thriving in any position from full sun to full shade, this low-maintenance dwarf bugle grows where grass cannot, makes a very attractive weed suppressor and is loved by bees and butterflies. Ajuga 'Chocolate Chip' is also ideal for edging paths or borders. Height: 10cm (4in). Spread: 15-145cm (0.5-4.5ft).

Grow Bugle plants into any moist, well-drained soil. Plants will perform best in partial shade, as full sun can cause leaf scorch. Ajuga will even tolerate poor soils in full shade. Makes excellent ground cover for shady corners.
More Info Ajuga plants are virtually maintenance-free, and do not required any pruning. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps every three years to maintain their vigour.
