Flamingo pink blooms with a classic goblet shape rise upwards on sturdy stems in mid-spring. Tulip ‘Pink Giant’ is bold and beautiful, suffusing beds and borders in a warming splash of colour that tones beautifully with its blue-green foliage. The large blooms and strong stems make them perfect for cutting for a vase indoors. Grow them in large groups for the best effect or dot a few containers about the patio to create a welcoming display. Height: 50cm (20"). Spread: 15cm (6").

Plant tulip bulbs in late summer or autumn. Tulips will grow well in any moist, well drained soil, except for particularly wet soils. Choose a sunny position that is sheltered from strong winds. When planting tulip bulbs avoid shallow planting as this may reduce the winter cold period that is essential for tulip bulbs to produce flowers in spring. Plant them at a depth of 15cm (6") and at a distance of 13cm (5") apart.
More Info After flowering, deadhead the faded tulip flowers and allow the foliage to die back completely before removing it in summer. Caution: Tulip bulbs are an irritant to skin and eyes, and are harmful if eaten.
