Tulip 'Black Cherry Frost' is an exquisite blend of two breathtaking varieties. The frosted mauve petals and icy white fringe of Tulip ‘Cummins’ makes a striking contrast with the deep plum shades of Tulip ‘Gorilla’. Each shapely bloom boasts a delicate and finely cut fringe that makes them particularly appealing as a cut flower. Flowering throughout April and May, these tulips are perfect for creating a memorable display in beds, borders and containers. Height: 40cm (16"). Spread: 20cm (8"). Supplied as bulbs.

Plant tulip bulbs in late summer or autumn. Tulips will grow well in any moist, well drained soil, except for particularly wet soils. Choose a sunny position that is sheltered from strong winds. When planting tulip bulbs avoid shallow planting as this may reduce the winter cold period that is essential for tulip bulbs to produce flowers in spring. Plant them at a depth of 15cm (6") and at a distance of 13cm (5") apart.
More Info After flowering, deadhead the faded tulip flowers and allow the foliage to die back completely before removing it in summer. Caution: Tulip bulbs are an irritant to skin and eyes, and are harmful if eaten.
