Description

These elegant climbers produce a constellation of dramatic star-shaped flowers throughout summer, which will fill your garden with their irresistible, sweet perfume. This stunning duo of jasmine plants contains spectacular varieties that are ideal for training over your arches and doorways or close to paths where these beautiful climbers can be best appreciated. >Trachelospermum jasminoides is one of the best value climbers. It delivers all year-round cover and colour with its glossy, evergreen foliage plus abundant flowers that have an intoxicating perfume and continue blooming all the way from May until September. All of this in a vigorous climbing vine that is drought-tolerant, pest and disease-free, doesn’t require much pruning and is easy to grow!

Collection comprises:

Trachelospermum jasminoides 'Star of Toscana' - This elegant evergreen climber bears thousands of pure white, star-shaped flowers throughout summer on twining woody stems. The glossy, rich evergreen foliage turns deep red and bronze in autumn, forming the perfect backdrop for its dramatic blooms which perfume the air with an irresistible, sweet fragrance. A stunning addition to a scented patio garden or grown against a sheltered wall for a truly glamorous display.

Trachelospermum jasminoides 'Star of Milano' - Bears beautifully variegated foliage, the glossy, pointed leaves adorned with pale to dark green patterning and creamy edges. In addition, instead of the plain white flowers, the star-shaped blooms of ‘Star of Milano’ are a lovely pale pink. This versatile climber suits any garden style, covering anything from walls, fencing to trellis. It’s even suitable for containers, ground cover or growing as a low, clipped hedge. Plant it somewhere you can appreciate its heady perfume – bees will love it too!

How to Grow
Grow star jasmine plants in frost-free conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When they are well grown, plant Trachelospermum jasminoides in fertile, well drained soil in sun or semi-shade. Choose a sheltered position that is protected from cold winter winds. In particularly cold areas, Trachelospermum jasminoides is best grown in patio containers of loam based compost, such as John Innes No.2, that can be moved to a protected position over winter. Provide the twining stems with an appropriate support such as trellis, wires or a free standing climbing frame.
More Info
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. After flowering, reduce the stems to restrict them to the available space. Caution: The milky sap of trachelospermum is an irritant to skin and eyes Caution: irritant to skin and eyes
