Flowering Months

Shasta Daisies are a staple requirement for cottage garden borders, their large daisy blooms rising on upright stems throughout the summer. Shasta Daisy 'Snowdrift' is a semi-double cultivar. Slender white petals create a ruffled circle around a buttery yellow centre. The dark green, leaves form a low growing clump of foliage with heavily serrated margins. This appealing Leucanthemum makes a superb cut flower. A lovely choice for sunny perennial borders and wildlife areas, where it will attract plenty of attention from pollinating insects. Height: 70cm (28"). Spread: 60cm (24").

How to Grow

Grow Shasta Daisies in any moist, well drained soil in sunny or semi shaded borders.

Feed and water regularly until plants are established. Deadhead faded leucanthemum flowers throughout summer to promote a constant supply of fresh blooms. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of shasta daisy in spring or late summer, after flowering. Reduce the old stems to ground level in autumn.
