Flowering Months

A pink-flowered variety of this popular Balkan Clary! Salvia nemorosa 'Caradonna Pink Inspiration' has the same upright habit and slender flower spikes as the more commonly seen, blue cultivar. The rosy-pink blooms contrast beautifully with its ebony-black stems. This bushy perennial forms a well-branched plant with coarse, dark green foliage which is aromatic when crushed. Loved by bees and other pollinators, this hardy perennial is perfect for a sunny spot, and shows good drought tolerance in hotter weather. Height: 50cm (20”). Spread: 30cm (12”).

How to Grow

Salvia plants prefer a moist, but well-drained soil in full sun, although once established they can also be very drought resistant.

Water regularly until salvia plants are fully established. Deadhead faded flowers throughout the summer to encourage more blooms to be produced.
