Description
Salvias are having a resurgence in popularity, and this one is a real beauty. Upright spikes of open-mouthed, lavender-blue flowers rise above a neat clump of aromatic foliage, which remains evergreen in mild areas. The stems and calyces are deep purple-black, contrasting elegantly with the blooms. . Salvia 'Lavender Dilly Dilly' positively thrives in hot sunny spot, and shows good drought resistance once established. Perfect for patio containers, gravel gardens and the front of sunny borders. Height: 60cm (24”). Spread:45cm (18”).

How to Grow
Salvia plants prefer a moist, but well-drained soil in full sun, although once established they can also be very drought resistant. This Salvia will appreciate a sheltered position with protection from strong winds and particularly hard frosts.

Water regularly until salvia plants are fully established. Deadhead faded flowers throughout the summer to encourage more blooms to be produced.
