Description
New breeding has produced this exceptional Black Eyed Susan, which unlike other Rudbeckia fulgida varieties produces flowers literally non-stop from July through to October - without taking a break! The bright, golden-yellow, daisy-like flowers with dark button eyes are attractive to bees and butterflies and make excellent cut flowers too. Easy to grow, plant Rudbeckia fulgida ‘Little Goldstar’ in borders or patio containers where its neat compact habit will form mounds of long-lasting flowers year after year. Height: 50cm (20”). Spread: 40cm (16”).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

1 x 2 litre potted rudbeckia plant (KC4497)
3 x 2 litre potted rudbeckia plants (KC4498)

How to Grow
Grow rudbeckia plants in sun or semi shade. Rudbeckia enjoys a fertile, preferably heavy soil that is rich in organic matter and well drained. Coneflowers resent drought and dislike soils that dry out in summer.
More Info
Feed and water rudbeckia plants regularly. Deadhead faded rudbeckia flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. Cut plants down to the crown at the end of the season and cover with a dry mulch of straw or wood chippings to protect from winter extremes.
