Description

The latest breeding brings together the very best traits of Petunia and Calibrachoa in one intergeneric hybrid! The Petchoa 'Beautical' series produces neat, mounding plants that are covered with veined, trumpet shaped blooms – just like Petunias, but with a greater depth of colour. The flowers are weatherproof, bouncing straight back after a heavy summer shower. Perfect for bringing a new dimension to your hanging baskets, patio pots and window boxes, or plant them en masse in beds and borders. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 40cm (16").

Petchoa 'Beautical' Collection comprises:

  • Petchoa ‘Beautical Bordeaux’ - Velvety, wine-red blooms.
  • Petchoa ‘Beautical Caramel Yellow’ - Rich gold trumpets with darker veining.
  • Petchoa ‘Beautical Cinnamon’ - A profusion of sunset orange blooms.
  • Petchoa ‘Beautical French Vanilla’ - Creamy yellow flowers with dark chocolate veining.
  • Petchoa ‘Beautical Sunray Pink’ - Bright cerise pink blooms stand out from the crowd.

How to Grow
Pot up Petchoa plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions for transplanting later on. Alternatively, plant plugs directly into flower pouches. Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise petunias to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before transplanting them outdoors into baskets, window boxes and containers in well drained soil, in full sun.
More Info
Regular deadheading of Petchoa flowers will encourage further blooms to be produced throughout the summer. Feed and water Petchoa plants regularly, particularly during hot, dry periods.
