Description
How to Grow
With a peppery flavour, Oregano 'Hot and Spicy' will bring a kick to your cooking! This perennial herb is fully hardy and easy to grow, producing plenty of aromatic leaves from spring to late summer. From mid-summer, clusters of white flowers are borne at the top of each stem, making this a pretty ornamental plant too. Perfect for containers or a hot, sunny spot in the herb garden. Height and spread: 45cm (18").
Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. Try the sweet tasting petals on top of salads or even pancakes, crystallise them for use as cake decorations too. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Plant oregano at a distance of 30cm (12") apart on any well drained or chalky soil in full sun.
More Info Once established oregano requires little aftercare, and only occasional watering during particularly dry periods. In autumn, apply a mulch of leaf mould or compost for extra winter protection from frosts.
