Description

A delightful collection of rockery plants selected from best plants in season at the time of despatch. Alpines are ideal for pots, beds, troughs and rockeries - perfect for filling gaps or planting into crevices in walls or paving. Enjoy a broad array of bright colours and stunning flowers, from late spring through into late summer. These hardy plants will return year after year, needing little maintenance.

To allow us to offer you such a good price, we can't take orders for specific varieties, but whatever we decide to send, you won't be disappointed. Image is for illustration purposes only. On reciept of your plants the varieties will be named.

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Although perfectly hardy, these alpine plants are best grown on in cool, sheltered conditions until spring to prevent them rotting in cold, wet soils. Plant out in spring, in a sunny or semi shaded position. Alpine plants thrive in fertile, free draining soils. Incorporate plenty of well rotted compost and some sharp grit if necessary, to improve soil conditions.
More Info
Once established, most alpines require little maintenance. However they will appreciate some protection from a cloche during particularly cold, wet winters. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps in spring to maintain plant vigour.
