Miscanthus is a showy, robust, flamboyant grass, which can add a different look to your borders, all year round. The tall stems are topped with feathery plumes of rich copper, looking glorious above clumps of arching, grassy foliage.

The stately flower spikes of Miscanthus 'Gracilimus' are at their best following a long hot summer. This hardy perennial is easy to grow and needs very little maintenance. The seed heads make a unique addition to flower arrangements or can be left intact to supply ongoing winter interest in the garden. Height: 130cm (51"). Spread: 120cm (47").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow Miscanthus grass in fertile, moist, well drained soil in full sun. Miscanthus Grass may resent soils that sit wet in winter. Prior to planting, improve drainage on particularly heavy soils by incorporating plenty of well rotted compost and grit.
More Info
Feed and water Miscanthus plants regularly until fully established. Cut back dead foliage and stems to ground level in early spring before new growth appears. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of Miscanthus grass every third year to maintain their vigour.
