Forming a low mat of striking bronze fern-like foliage, Leptinella squalida 'Platt's Black' is ideal for groundcover, edging paths and underplanting shrubs and roses, as well as planting in walls or between paving slabs. Easy to grow in a reliably moist but free-draining position, this versatile evergreen perennial also makes a decorative addition to container planting schemes. Height: 2-5cm (1-2in). Spread: 30cm (12in).

How to Grow
Grow Leptinella squalida in a reliably moist but free-draining position in full sun or part shade. Due to its spreading tendency, brass buttons is best kept away from delicate slow-growing plants that are vulnerable to being smothered. Clumps can be divided in spring.
