'Silver Gumdrop' is a stunningly showy new heuchera boasting deep bronze-purple foliage infused with almost iridescent silver. Loved by pollinators, the loose, upright sprays of vivid hot pink flowers bring out the purple in the leaves and contrast superbly with the silver. Forming a loose mound, Heuchera 'Silver Gumdrop' is a relatively compact variety that is ideal for containers or border fronts, providing superb year-round colour and interest or illuminating a shady corner. Height: 25cm (10in). Spread: 30cm (12in).

How to Grow

Heuchera plants dislike soils which are particularly dry or have a tendency to waterlogging. Plant them in moist, fertile, well drained soil, adding plenty of compost or well rotted manure to amend heavy clay or sandy soils. Choose a position towards the front of the border in full sun or semi shade.

Feed and water coral flower plants regularly until they are fully established.Apply a mulch of well rotted manure around the crown of each plant each spring. Lift and divide clumps of heuchera every 3 years in autumn to maintain vigorous, healthy growth.
