Description

A classic cottage garden plant that couldn’t be prettier! Geranium sanguineum var. striatum boasts saucer-shaped, pale pink blooms decorated with delicate rose-pink veins. The foliage forms an attractive low mound of finely cut leaves, which add a pleasing texture to the front of borders.

This hard working variety blooms constantly from June right through to August. Awarded an RHS AGM for its garden performance, this hardy perennial is reliable, versatile and surprisingly tough once established. Perfect for softening border edges, or dotting through rockeries and gravel gardens. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 30cm (12").

Eliminate the wait for your plants to mature with our XXL Bare Root Plant range. Planting these XXL clumps offers numerous advantages, particularly for achieving a quicker, more impactful and vibrant display, especially with varieties like Agapanthus, Geraniums or Peonies. These larger clumps, of established plants, provide immediate visual impact by having a well-developed robust root system and multiple green buds, all of which are individual plants which will spring to life once you plant them and work together to provide you with a stunning display from the first year of planting. They are also a great way to overcome the chance of losing younger plants to drought conditions as they are more mature and therefore drought-tolerant once planted.

How to Grow
Plant hardy geraniums in a sunny or shaded position on any well drained soil.

For more information and guidance check out our Gardening Guides.

More Info
Water regularly until fully established. Remove old foliage and faded flower stems throughout the growing season to promote continuous fresh growth. In autumn, cut the foliage back completely. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure to the base of the plant in spring. Lift and divide hardy geranium plants every third year to maintain their vigour.
