Michaelmas Daisies are prized for their cheery, autumn flowers that reinvigorate fading late summer borders. Aster novi-belgii 'Audrey' is a compact, dwarf variety with a bushy, spreading habit. Lilac blooms, each with a contrasting golden-yellow eye, smother the slender, dark green foliage from August to October. This carefree hardy perennial is perfect for edging perennial borders and makes a useful addition to wildlife gardens, attracting plenty of pollinating insects. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 45cm (18").

How to Grow

Plant Michaelmas Daisy plants into fertile, moist, well drained soil, and situate them in full sun or semi shade. Add plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting.

Feed and water frequently throughout the summer to ensure an endless supply of flowers. Deadhead faded aster flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced.
