Place your Alocasia in a bright spot with plenty of natural light but not in direct sunlight. This rainforest plant enjoys humidity, so a bathroom or kitchen windowsill is ideal. Avoid draughts and rotate occasionally to ensure even growth. Water regularly as the compost surface begins to dry out to keep moist but not saturated; allowing any excess to drain away. The plant will also enjoy being misted. Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid houseplant feed. Reduce watering in winter, allowing the top of the compost to mostly dry out. Trim off faded leaves from the base.
