How to Grow
This superb duo of African Lilies brings together two exciting varieties. The bicolour blooms of Agapanthus ‘Fireworks’ compliment the dark blooms of Agapanthus 'Poppin' Purple' to perfection. Their rounded flower heads rise above neat clumps of narrow, strap-like foliage. These reliable perennials make stylish container plants, bringing structure and colour to the patio. Alternatively plant them in bold groups in sunny borders where they will provide a long lasting display. Height and spread: 60cm (24").
Agapanthus Duo comprises:
- Agapanthus ‘Fireworks’ - Exotic-looking, two-tone flowers that won't fade in colour.
- Agapanthus 'Poppin' Purple' - An elegant display of dark, purple-black buds that open to reveal starry, violet blooms.

Grow Agapanthus plants in rich fertile, well drained soil, in a sunny position. When growing Agapanthus in patio containers use a soil based compost, such as John Innes No.3 .
More Info Feed and water African Lilies regularly throughout the growing season.Leave faded Agapanthus flower stems intact to enjoy their architectural seed heads during autumn. When the first frost blacken the seed heads, cut the stems back to ground level. Protect plants outdoors from severe winter weather by providing a dry mulch of bark chips or straw in late autumn. Container grown plants can be moved to a frost free position over winter. Divide agapanthus clumps in spring when they become over crowded.
