Marketing Assistant

We generate over 2 million orders per year marketing our products via our website, catalogues, magazines, newspapers, Amazon, EBay and home shopping TV channels.

We’re currently recruiting for Marketing Assistant to join our team. Full training will be provided and there are excellent career prospects for the right candidate in this, the fastest growing area of our business. If you are looking for an opportunity to get into a sales environment with ambition to progress, this could be the role for you.

Example of required tasks:

  • - Assisting with planning and set up of new ranges, categories and promotions across all sales channels
  • - To assist in the production of marketing analysis, and to make suggestions based on the results
  • - Monitoring and reporting on competitor pricing and activity
  • - Review catalogues and other printed marketing materials, ensuring pricing and product placement are in line with analysis results and best placed to maximise ROI
  • - Monitoring Press contact and maintaining the Company’s Press List
  • - Daily administration as required

Candidate profile:

Candidates must have excellent attention to detail, be highly organised, enjoy working to deadlines and have first-rate written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in the use of MS Office (notably Excel and Word) is also required. A desire to learn and a ‘can do’ attitude is essential.

Goods-In & Warehouse Operatives

Thompson & Morgan is an exciting multi-channel mail order and retail business with an extensive customer base, providing plants, seeds and garden goods to customers in the UK and Worldwide.

We are looking for dynamic individuals to join our busy outer warehouse team. The successful candidates will assist with the day to day operations of our warehouse and will be responsible for receiving deliveries ensuring incoming stock is accurately checked against delivery paperwork. In addition you will be responsible for the general organisation of goods, which include living plant products, moving stock and storing in the correct locations. There will be an element of outdoor working when storing products in our nursery grounds and unloading deliveries.

This role will suit self motivated and organised individuals who posses good time management skills and have a hands-on approach. You will be working as part of a small team but the ability to work on your own is also essential.

Full-time positions available working Monday to Friday with some additional weekend hours required during peak months.

Candidate profile:

  • - Previous experience in similar role/ understanding of warehouse processes
  • - Current forklift licence holder would be an advantage
  • - Basic IT skills including Microsoft Excel
  • - Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to work well with others

We are a non-sales environment Contact Centre and deal with inbound calls only. Our Customer Service agents are responsible for every aspect of our customers’ experience, from the initial processing of orders right through to handling enquiries. We receive contact through a range of channels such as telephone, post, email and social media.

Successful candidates will need to be motivated, have excellent communication skills and understand what it means to deliver good service. Previous experience working within customer service will be an advantage but is not essential. If you're a keen gardener, even better!

We are currently recruiting for various hours and shifts, including part time hours, all shift patterns will include an element of weekend working and/or late shifts.
