Web Developer
Position: Full time, permanent position- Monday to Friday
Location: Remote – Candidates must be based in UK
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Website Developer with experience in server management and SQL. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in web development, a passion for creating innovative and user-friendly websites, and the ability to manage servers and databases effectively.
Responsibilities:
Website Development:
- Design and develop responsive and visually appealing features and functionalities for our websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any website issues that get raised.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Server Management:
- Manage and maintain web servers to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot server issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Perform regular server updates, maintenance, and backups.
Database Management:
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases to support website functionality.
- Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
- Ensure data security and integrity through proper database management practices.
Collaboration:
- Work alongside our developers to maintain and update our existing portfolio of websites.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and content creators, to bring web projects to fruition.
- Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Stay Current:
- Keep up-to-date with the latest web development trends, server technologies, and best practices.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance website performance and security.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Proven experience in web development with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies.
- Experience in server management, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in SQL server management and database design.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Desirable:
- Experience with ColdFusion.
- Experience working with eCommerce websites.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices.
