Description
Grown in one pot as a colourful trio, these vigorous climbers produce masses of blooms from July to October. Each bloom has a characteristic black centre that gives Thunbergia its common name of Black-Eyed Susan. Thunbergia are tender climbers, generally grown as annuals in the UK, but may be grown as evergreen perennials if cultivated in a heated greenhouse or conservatory. Thunbergia alata 'Arizona Trio' are quick growing; rapidly covering obelisks, wall and fences. Plant them in patio containers and sunny borders to create a superb, free-flowering focal point. Height: 180cm (71"). Spread: 40cm (16").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

1 x 3 litre potted thunbergia plant (KA0683)
2 x 3 litre potted thunbergia plants (TKA0684)

How to Grow
Plant Thunbergia in any fertile, moist, well drained soil. Choose a sheltered position in full sun or semi shade. Alternatively plant Black-Eyed Susan in patio containers using a good quality compost.
More Info
Feed and water regularly, especially when grown in a conservatory. Thunbergia does not require pruning except as and when necessary to contain the stems within their allotted space.
