How to Grow
One of Australia's most spectacular trees, now available in the UK! Despite the exotic flowers and prehistoric-looking foliage, the Firewheel Tree is surprisingly adaptable to UK conditions and will perform strongly in sunny sheltered corner of the garden, making a stand out specimen container plant. We’ve seen this unusual tree coming through UK winters outside in the garden, but to ensure years of enjoyment from this wow factor plant we recommend moving it to a frost free location overwinter. For those with space it can be grown in a greenhouse, or in the conservatory. Each flower takes on the appearance of an exotic firewheel. Height: 250cm (98"). Spread: 100cm (39").

Plant in light, well drained soil in a very sheltered position in the garden in full sun or partial shade. Alternatively, plant in a large patio container in good quality, well draining compost.
More Info Protect from frosts over winter with a mulch and horticultural fleece. If in a pot, move indoors to a frost free location.
