Description
This delightful little bulb is one of the earliest to appear in the garden, flowering from February to March. Each sturdy stem carries a cluster of pretty star-shaped, silvery blue flowers, sporting darker blue stripes along the length of every petal. Scilla mischtschenkoana 'Tubergeniana' is easy to grow in rockeries, alpine troughs, or beneath trees and shrubs. These hardy, low maintenance bulbs also make a lovely display when naturalised in grassy areas. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 5cm (2").

50 scilla bulbs (T67034)

How to Grow
Scilla bulbs can be planted from late summer to early autumn. Choose a sunny or semi shaded site on rich-fertile, well drained soil and plant them at a depth of 10cm (4") deep. Scilla bulbs are ideal for creating natural looking drifts. Simply cast the bulbs across the planting area and plant them where they land.
More Info
Scilla bulbs require little maintenance but must be allowed to die back naturally after flowering, in order to feed the bulb for the following year. Avoid mowing grassy areas where they are naturalised until after all of the foliage has died back.
