Description

Brighten up winter containers with the vibrant colours of Pansy ‘Cool Wave'. These tough little bedding plants are a breeding breakthrough, bred for a gently cascading habit with large, showy flowers and a fabulous colour mix. Free-flowering and easy to grow, these Pansies are at their best during the coldest months when few other plants dare to bloom, but will keep going right through to the following summer. Perfect for filling hanging baskets, patio containers and window boxes with long-lasting colour. Your collection will be created using the following Coolwave varieties: Raspberry, Blue Skies, Blueberry Swirl & Yellow Golden. Trails to: 60cm (24”). Spread: 30cm (12”).

Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. The crystallised petals are great decorations for cakes and cookies, or they can be added straight to green salads for an injection of colour. For more details about edible flowers click here.

How to Grow
Gradually acclimatise garden ready pansy plants to outdoor conditions before planting them in any well drained soil, in sun or semi shade.
More Info
Feed and water frequently, but take care not to overwater in winter as this can cause root damage should the compost freeze. Deadhead faded pansy flowers before they set seed to prolong the flowering period.
