Description
Osteospermum Falling Stars'™ 'Erato Basket Purple' will fill your baskets and containers with a bold splash of colour that will last the whole summer long. These well-branched, bushy plants are smothered in purple daisy-like flowers that open wide on sunny days and gently close in dull weather. The naturally cascading stems make good ground cover too when planted en masse in sunny beds and borders. Height and spread: 45cm (18”).

Culinary note: The bright coloured flowers can be used as a garnish or in ice cubes to add an extra dimension to summer drinks. For more details about edible flowers click here.

How to Grow
Osteospermum 'Falling Stars'™ (Sunbrella) plants can be planted directly into their final containers and grown on in bright, frost-free conditions. Plant them in any fertile, well drained compost. When all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before placing them in their final positions outdoors in full sun.
More Info
Feed and water Osteospermum plants regularly throughout the growing season. Deadhead faded Osteospermum flowers throughout the flowering period to encourage more blooms to be produced.
