Flowering Months

Nandina domestica 'Blush Pink' is a particularly flamboyant cultivar with blush pink young foliage in spring. The new growth retains its pink hue throughout the summer, developing to fiery red shades in autumn and winter. During the following year the leaves mature to green, but the fabulous colours are replaced by a new flush of fabulous pink growth. This vibrant Heavenly Bamboo also bears dainty white flowers in July followed by small red berries. This superb semi-evergreen shrub makes an ideal specimen plant with plenty of year round interest. A lovely, low maintenance addition to borders, patio containers and exotic planting schemes. Height and spread: 1m (39").

How to Grow

Grow Nandina in a moist, but well-drained soil in a sheltered position in full sun. Plants will tolerate a wide range of soils, from sand to chalk and clay.

Heavenly Bamboo plants are low-maintenance and easy to grow, requiring very little pruning, simply tidy plants after flowering to remove any dead, damaged or unshapely growth.
