How to Grow
This wow-factor houseplant is bound to attract attention. Medinilla magnifica ‘Flamenco’ produces a lush canopy of large, leathery, prominently veined leaves which makes it an attractive houseplant for its foliage alone. In the summer months, it develops long, pendulous, pink stems which bear extraordinary neon-pink flowers that bloom for 3-4 months. It makes a stunning showpiece for a bright room or conservatory. Height and spread: 30cm (12in).

Grow in temperatures of 18-25ºC (64-77ºF) in bright indirect light, but with shade from the hottest sun. Avoid positioning this plant close to cold draughts and radiators.
More Info Water regularly, allowing the top 2 inches of soil to dry out between waterings and ensuring that the root ball does not become saturated. Medinilla appreciates a humid atmosphere - stand it on a tray filled with pebbles and water. As the water evaporates it will increase humidity around the plant. Misting the foliage daily with a fine spray will also help to improve humidity. House plants should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth.
