Description
This attractive Hellebore ‘Double Ellen Red’ add colour to the border or containers in late winter to early spring, making it a fantastic choice for winter gardens! It will attract early pollinators as it has large, double, dark purple flowers. They look lovely when under planted with early spring flowering bulbs. Height and spread: 35cm (14").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow hellebores in neutral or alkaline soil, in dappled shade. Hellebores prefer a moist, humus rich, fertile soil that does not dry out in summer or sit waterlogged in winter. When growing hellebores on heavy clay or free draining gravel soils, add plenty of well rotted leaf mould or other organic matter to the soil prior to planting.
More Info
Mulch hellebore plants with well rotted manure or garden compost each spring. Hellebores resent disturbance after planting and may take some time to re-establish. However when clumps become overcrowded, lifting and dividing of hellebores should be undertaken immediately after flowering. Caution: Hellebore sap may irritate the skin and eyes, harmful if eaten.
