Description
The sunny yellow blooms of Helenium autumnale will brighten up fading borders in late summer. This reliable perennial boasts nectar rich, daisy flowers that are loved by pollinating insects. Like all Heleniums, it is easy to grow, mingling beautifully with other perennials as part of a mixed border. Perfect for cottage gardens, prairie planting schemes and wildlife areas. Height: 100cm (39"). Spread: 60cm (24").

How to Grow
Grow helenium plants in full sun. This hardy perennial prefers a soil that is rich in organic matter and reliably moist. Add plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil to improve its structure and fertility prior to planting.
More Info
Feed and water plants regularly until they are fully established. Deadhead faded helenium flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. Divide overcrowded clumps of helenium in spring and apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant.
