Description

If you garden on dry, gritty soil then this collection of hardy Ice Plants is a ‘must have’! These fleshy-leaved succulents form a dense matt of semi-evergreen foliage that will gradually carpet the soil. From late spring to early autumn the jewel-like flowers bring a dazzling display that often completely cover the foliage. These tough little perennials are drought resistant and positively thrive in those hot, dry spots where other plants fail to establish. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 60cm (24").

Delosperma cooperi 'Jewel of Desert' Collection comprises 1 plant each of:

  • Delosperma cooperi 'Jewel of Desert Peridott' - Sunshine-yellow blooms that will always raise a smile!
  • Delosperma cooperi 'Jewel of Desert Rosequartz' - Soft pink flowers are borne in abundance.

2 x 1 litre potted delosperma plants (KB4213)

How to Grow
Delosperma thrives in poor sandy, sharply drained soil, in a sunny, sheltered position. Add plenty of sharp grit to the soil prior to planting in order to improve drainage and prevent the roots from rotting.
More Info
Delosperma requires little maintenance. Allow the soil to dry out between waterings and feed every 3 weeks whilst in active growth.
