Description
Colchicum 'Dick Trotter' produces its goblet shaped mauve-pink flowers in September and October, long before the foliage appears in spring. The single blooms are each decorated with a white star at their centre, making a pretty contrast. This useful bulb is loved by both gardeners and pollinating insects for its nectar rich, late season flowers, that bloom long after many plants have faded. Grow them at the front of borders or naturalised beneath trees, throughout the rockery or in areas of unmown grass. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 10cm (4").
