Description
Highlight your late-summer garden in with this impressive hardy perennial. Astilbe x arendsii 'Weisse Gloria' throws out a showy profusion of dense white flower clusters with a plume-like appearance, above a neat clump of finely divided foliage. Enjoying a position with rich, fairly moist soil in sun or partial shade, this low maintenance plant is ideal for growing in areas near water. Height: 70cm (27”). Spread: 50cm (19”).

1 x 1 litre potted astilbe plant (KB4678)

How to Grow
Plant astilbes in sun or dappled shade. Astilbe plants require rich fertile soil that remains permanently moist, even in the height of summer. A boggy soil next to a pond or stream is ideal. On drier soils, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or compost prior to planting and choose a shaded position.
More Info
Water regularly during hot, dry periods to prevent the soil from drying out. Divide over-crowded clumps of astilbe in spring when necessary, to increase their longevity. Apply a mulch around the base of the plant in spring to conserve moisture in the soil.
