How to Grow
A showy variety that always commands attention. The upright, branching stems of this colourful hardy shrub are cloaked in zingy-lime foliage that creates a bright contrast with its pink, late-spring blooms. The dense covering of leaves slowly mature to green before turning to bronze and mahogany in autumn. Weigela 'Princess Ayla' is a lovely, bushy little shrub that makes a great border plant and it just as good in a patio pot! Height and spread: 120cm (48”).

Grow Weigela in a sunny or semi shaded position, in any well drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Plant Weigela at the same depth as they were planted in their pots. Backfill the planting hole and water well to settle the soil.
More Info Water regularly throughout the growing season until young plants are fully established. In spring, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant. Weigela requires little pruning. After flowering cut back stems to a healthy bud and remove a fifth of the old stems to ground level.
