Description

Our Spring Potted Bulb Collection is perfect for providing a cheery and long lasting display that will see you right through to late spring. Pot them up together for a splash of colour on the patio, or dot them about through the rockery or at the front of beds and borders. Each of these hardy bulbs is easy to grow, returning every spring, and gradually increasing in numbers as the years go by.

Winter Potted Bulb Collection comprises 1 pot each of:

  • Crocus 'Pickwick' - Particularly large flowers, pinstriped in purple and white with dazzling golden anthers. Height: 10cm (4"). Spread: 5cm (2").
  • Muscari armeniacum - Densely packed spikes of tiny deep blue flowers throughout Spring. Height: 20cm (8"). Spread: 10cm (4").
  • Narcissus 'Jetfire' - A dwarf daffodil that has bold yellow flowers with reflexed petals, and bright orange trumpets. Height: 20cm (8"). Spread: 7cm (3").
  • Puschkinia scilloides var. libanotica - Gleaming white blooms are produced in dense clusters, each brightly striped with pale blue. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 10cm (4").
  • Narcissus 'Thalia' - A slender and elegant variety, with a slight reflex on the petals which give it that graceful windswept look. Height: 45cm (18"). Spread: 15cm (6").

How to Grow
Plant spring bulbs in sun or semi-shade on well drained soil. Alternatively, grow bulbs in containers of loam based compost such as John Innes No.2. Plant the bulbs at a depth of approximately 3 times their own height.
More Info
