Bees a plenty on wonderful blooms 2013-07-15

I grew these last year and a rather wet year . This year with all the sun these have really excelled and the bees just love wallowing in the large flowers trying to feed and gather pollen. These will be on the list for next year

These have to be seen! 2012-06-13

These were sown late last year in modules and transplanted out at the end of April. They have just started to flower, they are quite dramatic. As was stated in the description as resembling an Elizabethan ruff, how true. They really are red unlike so many which tend to border on orange/red.Watching them open in the early morning sun is a real pleasure. I hope we will have a few more sunny days to watch them unfold! I have planted in groups of five so they are partially self supporting. The stems are quite sturdy so have been able to cut back on supports I will certainly invest in another packet for next year
