When large enough to handle, thin out to 30cm (12in) apart. They prefer a hot, sunny, open site and free drained soil, but will grow in most sites and soils.

Unfortunately not many of these grew hence the reason I'm ordering some more! They really do look like a black peony and are truly sensational. Hope T and M are going to be selling them as plugs so that I might have more success with them. This is a poppy that must be tried in your garden.
