The Tuberose has long been admired for its exquisite, rich perfume. Until recently, only white cultivars were available, but Polianthes tuberosa 'Pink Sapphire' marks a real breeding breakthrough. Rose pink blooms with fully double petals are carried in stocky flower spikes that make astonishing cut flowers. This half hardy tuberous perennial is perfect for growing in containers on a sunny patio, where its fragrance can be enjoyed on warm summer evenings. Polianthes tuberosa requires a minimum temperature of 15°C (59°F), so be sure to move them indoors over winter for another beguiling display next year. Height: 120cm (48"). Spread: 15cm (6").

Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. With the first autumn frosts, remove tubers from their positions and store over winter in peat or sand, in a cool but frost free position. Replant tubers of Polianthes tuberosa the following spring.
Plant tubers in pots during spring, at a depth of 10cm. Grow them on in a warm, frost free position. When plants are well grown, and all risk of frost has past, transplant Polianthes into their final positions in borders or containers. Choose a sunny position in moist, free draining soil. Tubers may also be planted directly into borders.

Happy and Satisfied Customer 2016-09-28

I write to report that my order for Polianthes Tuberosa arrived promptly, within the week, in perfect condition and was of the quality one has come to associate with T&M. All the tubers are putting up flower stems and the first flower, I agree very fragrant, opened on the 21st June. So this is a thank you letter from a very happy and satisfied customer

Extremely disappointing 2016-09-17

No problems with delivery - in fact I was very impressed with the size of the bulbs on arrival. They did grow on showing plenty of leaf. They look healthy enough as well. However, not one single flower. Bringing polianthes tuberosa to flower seems to be an art that is difficult to learn.Which is a pity because this is a wonderful flower.

T&M replied on 2016-09-17: Thank you for your review. I am very sorry to learn of your disappointment with your purchase. At your earliest convenience please contact our Customer Care Department at ccare@thompson-morgan.com, one of our agents will be more than happy to look into this further for you.
