Description

This stunning new photinia offers constant interest, with variegated leaves which morph through pink, red, cream and green hues.

New shoots emerge deep red to green with bright pink margins and then transition to dark olive green with creamy edges. Two or three flushes of young leaves occur throughout the season, creating a changing palette.

This evergreen photinia has a neat and bushy habit and makes a lovely, low-maintenance, stand-alone shrub or planted as a dense hedge or screen. Maximum height and spread: 300cm (118in).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow Photinia plants in a sunny or semi shaded position, in any moderately fertile, moist, well drained soil. In frost prone areas, plant Photinia next to a warm wall or in the shelter of other shrubs. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Plant Photinia shrubs at the same depth as they were planted in their pots. Backfill the planting hole and water well to settle the soil.
More Info
Water regularly throughout the growing season until young plants are fully established. In spring, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant. Once established, Photinia requires only occasional attention, removing any damaged stems and lightly trimming those that spoil the shape of the plant in summer after flowering. If grown as a hedge, it can be trimmed up to 3 times a year, from late spring through to mid-August.
