Sowing
Where to sow: Outdoors where they are to flower.
Preparation: Prepare the ground by raking until it is fine and crumbly, removing any large stones.
Sowing: Sow 6mm (1/4in) deep, in rows 30cm (12in) apart.
Growing: When large enough to handle, thin seedlings to 15cm (6in) apart.
For spring/summer flowering pot plants: Sow in a cool greenhouse or conservatory in late summer/early autumn. Grow on in cool conditions in full light and water sparingly.
