Description

Microsorum is a creeping fern, native to Australia and New Zealand. The glossy fronds emerge from spreading, hairy rhizhomes. Grown upon porous Lava Rock, this Kangaroo Fern absorbs water and nutrients directly from the stone. It’s exposed roots and handsome wavy fronds make this unusual house plant a fabulous talking point.

This decorative plant is supplied on its own completely unique piece of Lava Rock, each completely individual and mounted in a sturdy black tray. Perfect for creating a modern and stylish table top feature in your home.

Height supplied: 30cm (12”) including lava rock.

Tray dimensions (L x W x H): 17.5cm x 10cm x 2.5cm.

Please note: Some houseplants are toxic or harmful to pets if ingested. If you believe your pet has consumed a poisonous plant then seek veterinary attention immediately. Take a sample of the plant with you.

How to Grow
Position in a warm room away from cold draughts and radiators, with a constant temperature above 16C (60F). Choose a bright position in good light, but away from the glare of very strong sun, which may scorch the leaves and dry out the roots during hot weather.
More Info
This plant is grown on porous lava rock which must be kept constantly moist to prevent the roots from drying out. On delivery, fill the tray with water and keep it permanently topped up. House plants should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth. Add liquid fertiliser to the water once a month.
