Hemerocallis 'Mini Stella'Daylily

Hemerocallis ‘Mini Stella’ is a miniature version of Hemerocallis ‘Stella D’Oro’ that is ideal for smaller gardens, rock gardens and container planting. ‘Mini Stella’ is a heavy budding variety, bearing masses of lightly-scented, small, yellow, trumpet-shaped flowers with chartreuse throats in early summer, reblooming again in midsummer.

The Greek word ‘Hemerocallis’ translates as ‘Beautiful for a Day’ but this hardworking perennial is beautiful for weeks on end. Although individual flowers last a day each, new buds are produced continuously, with hundreds of buds produced over a single season. Long, bright green strap-like leaves are semi-evergreen and provide useful foliage texture, colour and groundcover throughout the season.

Hemerocallis are hardworking, practically bulletproof plants, thriving in most soils, including heavy clays, providing they are given some sun. Height: 30-50cm (30-20in). Spread: 50cm (20in).
