Description
How to Grow
Aubrieta 'Red Cascade' is a spreading, semi-evergreen perennial, clinging steadfastly to wall crevices, tumbling from containers, or carpeting the front of beds and borders. Throughout April and May, the mat of furry grey-green foliage becomes smothered with masses of bright magenta blooms. This fuss-free plant is tough and resilient, virtually looking after itself once established. Holding an RHS Award of Garden Merit for its performance and resistance to pests and diseases, Aubrieta 'Red Cascade' is perfect for rockeries, alpine troughs, borders and wildlife gardens, where it will always attract the buzz of pollinating insects. Height: 10cm (4"). Spread 40cm (16").

Plant aubrieta in full sun or part shade, on well drained neutral or alkaline soil in rockeries, border edges and containers. On heavier soils, incorporate plenty of grit to improve drainage, prior to planting.
More Info Water regularly until plants are fully established. Cut aubrieta plants back hard after flowering to promote a fresh flush of growth and maintain its compact form.
