Flowering Months

Aster alpinus 'Happy End' is a compact, early-flowering aster that is ideal for rockeries and the front of dry, sunny borders. Masses of rose-pink daisy-like flowers with yellow centres are produced in May and June. This hardy, drought-tolerant herbaceous perennial thrives in poor soils and dry sites, and is also suitable for containers. Height: 25cm (10in). Spread: 30cm (12in).

How to Grow

Plant Aster alpinus in a well-drained soil in full sun. Deadhead spent blooms to prolong flowering and cut back after flowering to retain compact shape.
