Description
Aquilegia 'Mrs Scott-Elliott' produces masses of pretty bicoloured blooms in shades of lilac, creamy white, red and yellow. Carried delicately on tall wiry stems, they are commonly known as ‘Granny’s Bonnet’ due to their shape. Perfect for cottage garden borders and woodland planting schemes, they are also superb for cutting for an indoor display. These charming columbines will quickly naturalise to create a crowd of spring blooms. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 40cm (16").

Enjoy the wonderful nodding spurred blooms of Aquilegia 'Mrs Scott-Elliott' even sooner than usual with our Garden Ready plants. We despatch these packs of 15 tough super-size plants at the perfect time for planting out, usually before blooms form, which helps them establish quicker for better root growth and then a longer, stronger display of flowers. All Garden Ready Plants are grown in incredicompost® and fed with incredibloom®, guaranteeing best ever performance.

Premium perennials are large plug tray plants, roughly the same size as garden ready plants like a potted plant without a pot. They will need to be acclimatised to the garden, and once all chance of frost has cleared can be planted out directly into the garden.

How to Grow
Grow aquilegia in sun or part shade in fertile, moist, well drained soil.
More Info
Columbines hybridize readily, be aware that any self-sown seedlings may not come true to type. If seedlings are not wanted, deadhead faded aquilegia flowers to prevent them self seeding. Aquilegias dislike disturbance but overcrowded clumps may be lifted and divided in spring when necessary.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3
