Description

Reliable and dependable, this leafy Perpetual Spinach has a flavour very similar to annual Spinach but produces longer spear-shaped foliage. It's main advantage is that it won't bolt so quickly, so you can take your time harvesting, leaving plants to stand in the ground for much longer. Use the leaves in the same way - added raw to salads and sandwiches or steamed for a tasty side dish. Perpetual spinach is packed with healthy vitamins and can be picked over a particularly long period. Height: 50cm (20"). Spread: 45cm (18").

More Info

Water freely through the season and harvest by picking a few leaves, snapping them off close to the ground, from several plants rather than completely stripping one. If there are more leaves ready than you can use it is still best to pick them to encourage a steady supply of young green leaves.
