A majestic Whitebeam with downy green leaves that glint silver in the spring sunshine. Sorbus aria 'Lutescens' develops a profusion of white flower clusters in late spring attracting bees and other pollinators to the garden. The blooms are followed by autumn berries which are loved by birds. This deciduous tree forms a lovely dense canopy that makes a useful addition to larger gardens, delivering a long season of interest. Grow Sorbus aria 'Lutescens' in a prominent position where it can create showy focal point. Height: 12m (39’). Spread: 8m (26’).

How to Grow
Grow Sorbus in any well drained soil that remains reliably moist. On light soils, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or compost to improve soil moisture retention. Choose a position in sun or semi shade.

Feed and water well until fully established. Sorbus requires virtually no pruning. Simply remove any damaged, crossing or misplaced branches in spring if necessary.
