Description
Exquisite sky-blue flowers crowd the upright stems of this magnificent perennial over a long period. The woody stems are cloaked in dark, aromatic foliage that makes a good contrast with its open-mouthed blooms. Salvia 'African Sky' forms a bushy, well branched plant that shows good drought tolerance once established. Although perennial, this half hardy Salvia will appreciate some protection from winter weather. Grow it in patio containers that can be moved to a frost free position during winter, or plant it in a sheltered border in very mild areas. Height: 75cm (29"). Spread: 60cm (24").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

1 x 2 litre potted salvia plant (KA0981)
2 x 2 litre potted salvia plants (TKA0982)

How to Grow
Salvia plants prefer a moist, but well-drained soil in full sun, although once established they can also be very drought resistant. This Salvia will appreciate a sheltered position with protection from strong winds and particularly hard frosts.
More Info
Water regularly until salvia plants are fully established. Deadhead faded flowers throughout the summer to encourage more blooms to be produced.
