Description
Rocket is a salad favourite for its peppery flavour and attractive, finely cut leaves. This quick growing crop produces plenty of leaves for mixing into salads or adding a spicy bite to sandwiches! Pick the leaves as and when required, while they are young and tender. Older leaves can be cooked as a substitute for spinach. Height and spread: 20cm (8").

How to Grow

T&M's easy starter plants are delivered ready for planting at the correct time so that you can enjoy bigger, earlier and tastier vegetables. Gradually acclimatise plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days prior to planting outdoors.

Grow Rocket in well prepared, fertile, moist soil in sun or semi shade. Space plants 23cm (9") apart and cover with a protective netting or fleece to prevent attack from birds and insects.

More Info
Water salad leaves regularly. Dry weather may cause plants to bolt so watering is particularly critical. Pick the young leaves as required over the whole row rather than just one or two plants as this would weaken them. As the flower buds appear pinch them out to prolong cropping.
