Description How to Grow More Info Delivery
Lavish, purple-pink, fully double blooms emit a heavy perfume that lingers on the summer breeze. This reliable RHS AGM variety is repeat flowering from midsummer. By September, the blooms are replaced with rounded red hips that extend its season of interest well into autumn. Rose 'Roseraie de l'Hay' is a superb rugosa rose forming a vigorous, dense shrub with light green, crinkled foliage. A excellent choice for a sensory garden or planting at the back of borders where its colour and perfume make it stand out from the crowd. Height and spread: 2.5m (8’).

Companion planting: Try growing roses with garlic, chives, thyme or mint to help deter aphids and blackfly.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. Sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this, so regretfully we are unable to ship live plants to the following areas: GY, HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3.

3 litre potted rose plant (T79093)

Feed and water rose plants regularly .In late summer, begin pruning rugosa roses by removing dead and diseased wood, and any rubbing or damaged branches. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost to the base of the plant after pruning.
Plant roses at the earliest opportunity following delivery. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose an open position in full sun that has not been planted with roses in recent years. Roses enjoy a rich, fertile, well drained soil. Dig in plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting roses and add a small handful of granular fertiliser to the planting hole.
