Description

Specially developed for their edible blooms, each variety in the Incredible™ Rose range has its own unique flavour!

The marmalade orange blooms of Rose ‘Juicy’ have a tropical scent and flavour of honey and apricots. The fully double flowers provide plenty of petals for decorating chocolate cakes, adding to ice cream or sprinkling over a salad. A great addition to the kitchen garden, a sunny border or a container on the patio. Height: 90cm (36"). Spread: 60cm (24").

Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. Try the sweet tasting petals on top of salads or even pancakes, crystallise them for use as cake decorations too. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

1 x 1.5 litre potted rosa plant (KB6997)

How to Grow
Plant roses at the earliest opportunity following delivery. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose an open position in full sun that has not been planted with roses in recent years. Roses enjoy a rich, fertile, well drained soil. Dig in plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting roses and add a small handful of granular fertiliser to the planting hole.
More Info
Feed and water rose plants regularly and deadhead faded flowers. When growing roses it is necessary to remove any suckers that arise from the base of the plant, below the graft union. In late winter, begin pruning shrub roses by removing dead and diseased wood, and any rubbing or damaged branches. Then reduce strong young stems by up to a third of their length. Side shoots should be reduced to two buds. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost to the base of the plant after pruning.
